TRAS Cycling Program
Disability affects friends and families throughout the world. Most people already know-or will soon meet- someone with a disability who could benefit from adaptive cycling equipment.
Adaptive cycling is a very simple concept: modify and adapt cycles to an individual rider.
Cycling is a great way to stay physically active and lead a healthier lifestyle. The beauty of adaptive cycling is that it is truly a multi-disability sport. No two disabilities are identical, and there are endless adaptations that can be made. TRAS has various adaptive cycles to use. There are adapted bikes for use with amputations, spinal cord injuries, TBI's, CP, etc. TRAS has handcycles that enable riders with a lower-limb impairments to propel a 3- wheeled cycle using their arms.
The trail system around Pittsburgh is a great place to ride. There are scenic views of the
Rivers, bridges, and city of Pittsburgh wherever you go! If you are looking for something fun that will give you of sense of freedom, keep you in shape and build endurance while meeting new people and seeing new places- TRAS cycling is the place you need to be!!

We are studying how parental perceptions of disability sport have an effect on their child’s participation. This survey is for parents of children that are between the ages of 10 and 17. This is a two-part survey, and this is the first of the two. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and we are offering $10 gift cards to every participant who completes it.
Here is the link to the first online Qualtrics survey.
